First long ride

Got to take my new bike for its first long journey. I am LOVING it. Actually, what I probably love most is the fact that I can actually BREATHE in San Antonio. Good riddance dry El Paso air!
Memorial Day 2009

Pretty good Memorial Day this year. Went bike riding in the morning. Karlee just about had people dialing the cops with her screaming, not wanting to get in the bike seat, but she finally calmed down once we got moving. I took a wrong turn, ended up taking us farther than anticipated; poor Marysa was getting tired. We found a nice shady tree for her, Karlee, and Zackery to chill under while Spencer and I headed back to the truck to come back and “rescue” them. It was an awesome ride, actually.
Then we went home, busted out the mini pool and the Slip-N-Slide and let the kiddos have fun getting wet. Party-pooper dad relented to letting the grass get killed, just as long as it was a small spot. Punk he is, I tell ya’. Then headed out to the Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial downtown for some reflecting and a little history lesson.
Then Spencer and Karlee were at it again, with Karlee trying to dump Spencer out of the stroller. Headed home for some bar-b-que-in’ and called it a day.
